Guided Tours in Cape Verde
São Vicente: Turtle Snorkeling
Pure magic.
Early in the morning, we set out for quiet bays where green turtles feed. The water is clear, the sand is soft, and the turtles glide by, unbothered by our presence. Our guides are trained in marine conservation, so we keep a respectful distance and never disturb the animals. Many guests say this is the highlight of their trip...floating beside these gentle creatures, feeling the slow rhythm of island life.
Sal: Pedra de Lume Salt Lake
So relaxing.
Pedra de Lume sits inside an old volcanic crater on Sal Island. The salt concentration is so high you float without trying (just like the Dead Sea). The water feels silky against your skin, and the surrounding crater walls create this otherworldly atmosphere. After your float, you can walk around the abandoned salt works and learn how this tiny island once supplied salt across West Africa. It's weird, beautiful, and unlike anything else you'll do in Cape Verde.
São Vicente: Monte Verde Hiking
The view is... unique.
Monte Verde is São Vicente's highest point at 750 meters. The hike takes about two hours through rocky terrain that turns green after rare rains. At the summit, wind whips across the peak, but the views make every step worth it. On clear days, you can see six islands spread across the Atlantic(Santo Antão, Santa Luzia, São Nicolau and more). We usually start at sunrise to avoid the afternoon heat and catch the best light for photos.
